Introduction

These Terms & Conditions apply to all therapy and psychoeducational services offered by One of a Mind Therapy. By booking a session or program, you agree to these terms. 

1. Booking & Payments

One-to-One CBT Sessions

  • Single sessions: £60 per 50-minute session. 
  • Bundle packages (6, 8, or 12 sessions): Flexible payment options available. 
  • Example: For a 6-session bundle, pay for 3 sessions upfront and the remaining 3 midway through the bundle. 
  • Ongoing sessions: After completing a bundle, additional sessions are available at a reduced rate of £55 per session. 

Psychoeducational CBT Groups

  • Full program payment: Covers the entire 4-week program and is paid upfront.
  • Early Bird Rate: £80 per person (£20 per week)
  • Standard Rate: £100 per person (£25 per week)
  • Payment secures your place in the group,  no weekly payments are required.

Please note: All sessions and programs must be paid in advance. Payment after a session is not available. 

2. Cancellations, Missed Sessions & Refunds

One-to-One Sessions

  • Minimum 48 hour notice required to cancel or reschedule. 
  • Late cancellations (<48 hours) or no-shows may not be rescheduled and are non-refundable. 
  • If the therapist cannot deliver a session, a replacement session or full refund is provided. 

Bundle Packages

  • Sessions can be rescheduled within the bundle period if notice is given. 
  • Missed sessions without notice may not be rescheduled.
  • If the therapist cannot deliver a session, it will be made up or refunded. 
  • Unused sessions at the end of a bundle will be discussed individually, options to complete or partial refunds may be offered if the therapist cannot provide the service. 

Psychoeducational Groups

  • Cancellations >7 days before program start: refund minus £10 admin fee. 
  • Cancellations <7 days before start: non-refundable. 
  • Missed sessions: summary materials may be provided, but individual make-up sessions are not available. 
  • If the program cannot be delivered, participants will be offered a replacement session or full refund. 

3. Confidentiality

  • All sessions are private and confidential, in line with professional ethical standards. 
  • Online sessions are conducted via secure, encrypted platforms, and no recordings are made without your consent. 
  • Group participants are expected to respect the privacy of all attendees, sharing content outside the group is prohibited. 
  • I work under regular supervision to ensure ethical and effective practice. Supervision focuses on professional development and the therapeutic process, not identifying client details, to support the quality and safety of care. 

4. Emergencies

  • As a private therapy service, I cannot provide emergency or crisis support.

5. Professional Conduct

  • I am a registered member of the British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and adhere to their ethical standards. 
  • Therapy is evidence-based, collaborative, and individualised, ensuring care is respectful, effective, and responsive to each person’s needs. 

By attending online sessions, you consent to receive therapy via secure video platforms and acknowledge the limitations of online therapy, including potential technical interruptions. 

7. Data Protection & Privacy

I take your privacy seriously. I am registered with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and comply with UK data protection law (GDPR). 

How I handle your information

  • I only collect the personal information needed to provide therapy and manage sessions (e.g., name, contact details, relevant background information). 
  • Your data is stored securel , digitally in password-protected files or on paper in locked storage. 
  • Records are retained for 7 years after therapy ends, after which they are confidentially destroyed.  
  • Your information is only used for therapy and administrative purposes. 
  • You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your data. You may also request that I restrict or stop processing your information where appropriate. 

Sharing Information

  • I do not share your personal information unless required by law or if there is a serious risk of harm. 
  • Any discussion of client work in supervision does not include identifying information.

8. Professional Standards

  • I am a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in Scotland.
  • I follow NICE guidance for evidence-based mental health practice.
  • My work adheres to the BABCP Code of Practice, ensuring ethical and professional clinical standards.
